Der Weinberg L'Ermita liegt am Fuße des Berges Nuestra Señora de la Consolación und zeigt markante, nach Nordosten hin ausgerichtete Berghänge, die gerademal zwei Hektar Rebfläche hergeben. Hier gedeihen seit 70-100 Jahren quasi wildstehende, armdicke Garnacha-Rebstöcke. Die Reben wachsen auf grünlichem Schiefer-, Granit- und Sandsteinfelsen, sodass die Reben metertiefe Wurzeln schlagen müssen, um an Nährstoffe zu gelangen. Das sanfte und ausgeglichene Klima schafft die Voraussetzung einer natürlichen Entwicklung der Weinrebe. Gerade die leichte, aber stete Brise vom Meer ist ideal für einen perfekten Vegetationsverlauf. Die eher kühle Lage erlaubt es, spät zu lesen. Das Ergebnis ist einer der besten Weine der Welt, der nur in äußerst limitierter Menge auf den Markt kommt. Einen L'Ermita muss man nicht anpreisen. Der Wein ist eine Legende. Ihn zu trinken, ein absolutes Privileg. Luis Gutiérrez von Robert Parker Wine Advocate vergibt 99 Punkte und urteilt wie folgt: \"The flagship 2018 L'Ermita is already classified as Gran Vinya Classificada, the new category of Grand Cru vineyards from the Priorat appellation of origin. Like the 2017, the blend here is mostly Garnacha with about 20% Cariñena (the highest for this wine) and 2% of white grapes that fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats with a maceration of 56 days and matured in oak barrels of different sizes for 14 months. The grapes were picked quite late but on the same date as the previous year, the 17th of October, because the vineyard is so regular. The wine is aromatic, intense and elegant, with a lifted nose, a high-pitched note of violet pastille, more refined than the Aubaguetes and Baixada. It is classical and proportioned, with contained and complex aromas and flavors and lots of energy, light in its feel but with inner power and strength. As with most great wines, it should develop nicely and for a long time in bottle but will drink well throughout its life. Grand vin, yes. 2,440...

Luis Gutiérrez von Robert Parker's Wine Advocate vergibt stolze 98 Punkte: \"The 2018 Quiñón de Valmira is the only wine produced under Álvaro's personal label and sold through different channels from the rest of wines produced at the Palacios Remondo winery in Alfaro. 2018 is one of the best vintages in the zone in recent times. In 2018, they used some 30% full clusters that were foot trodden for the natural fermentation in oak vats with punch-downs and a maceration of 66 days. It went through malolactic in oak barriques and matured in oak foudres and bocoyes for 18 months. It's pale, translucent and quite light, ethereal, perfumed and floral, citrus notes (peel) with class and elegance, and it has fresh and crunchy flavors of pomegranate and watermelon that make you salivate. There are tons of spring flowers and aromatic herbs, like walking in the countryside on a warm spring day. It has an intoxicating nose, and the mouthfeel is delicate with incredible inner strength.
